North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samiti who have been organising Durga Puja since the last 5-7 years at Tulip Star were compelled to change its well-known venue due to Tulip Star property dispute. Veteran actor & organiser of Debu Mukherjee & Krishna Mukherjee says “We had to shift the venue because, with Maa Durga’s blessings Tulip Star has settled their dispute & re opening as V Hotels very soon. Years back it was shut down due to legal dispute, which is why we decided to keep our Durga Puja at Tulip Star, Juhu. Now since they are in the process to reopen the venue, we decided to shift our venue” Over the years, the celebrations have grown by ten folds, and with maximum participation from people, the organisers felt the need to shift the venue due to space constraint “Also over the years the footfall has increased.
