Akshay Kumar to be in a YRF film!

‘Tashan’ was Akshay Kumars last film with Yash Raj Film. Unfortunately Tashan bombed in the box office and there was a fallout between Akshay Kumar and Yash Raj Films. Currently, however, Akshay Kumar seems to be on a roll! From ‘Rustam’ to ‘Airlift’, to ‘Jolly LLB 2’, to ‘Toilet’,  to the recent ‘Padman’, each of his recent films have been successful, and have a message to go with it as well.

Perhaps the recent string of successful films is why YRF has decided to rope in Akshay Kumar once again! This film was originally going to star Ranveer Singh in the lead, however it has now been decided that Akshay Kumar will play the role of the protagonist.

Originally, of course, the script was written keeping a younger actor in mind, but changes will be made to the script to suit Akshay Kumar! This film will be directed by Shimit Amin, who earlier directed films like ‘Chak De India’, ‘Ab Tak Chhapan’, and ‘Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year’.
