Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at Smile Train!

Aishwarya Rai Bacchan was present at the ‘Smile Train’ event, celebration 5 Lakhs worth of free cleft surgeries. ‘Smile Train’ is the world’s leading cleft charity, providing free cleft surgery and care to children in need throughout India and the world.

Cleft palate is a common birth condition. It can occur alone or as part of a genetic condition or syndrome. Symptoms arise from the opening in the mouth. They include difficulty speaking and feeding. Surgery restores normal function with minimal scarring. If required, speech therapy helps correct speaking difficulties.
