“Bhaagi 2” Review: Action is the strength of this film. CineEye, March 30, 2018September 26, 2019 When it comes to a movie like this, you don’t look for logic or rationale. It’s less about story telling and more about the action, and adrenaline rush. It’s less about the screenplay and more about the masala and the drama. The synopsis is simple. An Army man, Ranveer Pratap Singh (Tiger Shroff) sets out of a journey to find a missing child. The missing child is the daughter of his love interest from 4 years ago, Neha (Disha Patani) who he was going to get married to, but destiny had other plans. So the synopsis is quite simple. A one man army on a mission to set things straight. We’ve seen something like this more times than we can count, however that doesn’t take away the fact that this film is stylish, with good action, and decent visuals. This film manages to keep you hooked from the beginning till the end, although much of it is due to the curiosity to know in which direction the story will go. No doubt, the screenplay is lazy and filled with loopholes. Much of the story telling seems outdated. Even the songs are remakes of other songs. So originality is not something to expect while watching this film. The main redeeming factor of the film is the action. In the acting department, Manoj Bajpai seems the most natural. Tiger Shroff does the best he can. When it comes to action, he excels. Meanwhile Disha Patani is beautiful. The other actors could have been much better. Technically, the film is very much polished. From editing to the cinematography, everything goes with the feel of the film. Overall, this is a film meant for the masses. A commercial film with action, the one liners, the romance, and the item numbers. If you’re a fan of action flicks, then this is for you, however keep in mind that other aspects are lacking. 2.5 out of 5 Stars Movie Reviews
