Ankur Malhotra shines in Nishi Malhotra’s “GRANDPA TURNS MODEL” CineEye, October 3, 2018September 26, 2019 This is a brief story of a grandpa living alone in Delhi. He has lost his only son and daughter in law but loves his grandson, who is working in Mumbai. His only complaint is that he is lonely and if only his grandson could give him the connect that he cares he would be happy without expecting muchfrom the grandson. The grandson on the other hand is caught with the fast pace of work presssure. The story takesan interesting turn when the grandpa gets a modelling offer. He is energised and wants to share his excitement with the grandson, who again does not have the time to hear him out. There is realization, regret, emotions and yet life has to move on.. A theatre artist, Manoj Bakshi has been performing on stage since the early 1980’s and is often seen playing supporting roles in a number of movies. Having made his foray into the film industry over two decades after his stage debut, Manoj has movies such as No One Killed Jessica, Delhi Belly, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, Kajariya, Junooniyat, Bajrangi Bhai, Bhanwarey, Note Pe Chot At 8/11, and When Obama Loved Osama to his credit. His 2018 release includes Hamari Paltan. Ankur Malhotra has featured in many television shows like Mahisaagar & Qubool Hey. He featured in the song “Jind Mereya” and has done his schooling from DPS, R.K Puram, Delhi and Engineering from LNCT, Bhopal, in Telecommunications. He is passionate about acting from the time he was at school and played a lead role in Mira, directed by M.K. Raina, the renowned director. Till date he has done 5 Pepsi ads and around 500 television episodes as lead and parallel lead. He has also acted in a couple of short films and daily prints like Danik Bhaskar, Zoom Delhi and Surkhiyan have covered a story on his passion for acting.
