Juhu Opts For Garbha Dance to Silent Music!

The noise deadlines can no more stop Juhu Garbha revellers from dancing away through midnight, with the headphones, merging technology with traditional festivities. The Adarsh Navratri Utsav by firebrand MLA Ameet Satam normally closes down fifteen minutes before the 10 pm deadline. But this time around, revellers celebrated with huge enthusiasm, dancing away to traditional music, clad in bright green mirrored costumes that stood out on the resplendent red carpet of the JVPD Grounds, Juhu, till the stroke of midnight. Only Cinderellas needed to leave behind their headphones and not their glass slippers behind!

“The deadline imposed by the Bombay High Court has to be respected. But the Silent Garbha Nights help revellers who don’t want the festivities to end,” says Ameet Satam. “The headphones enable the younger generation to enjoy the festival without disappointment, besides reducing the noise pollution levels in the city. The senior citizens enjoy a peaceful night while the youngsters get to have unbridled fun – a win-win situation for both!”

Interestingly, the headphones at Ameet Satam’s Adarsh Navratri Utsav come absolutely free of cost. And, it was indeed amazing to see the headphones stay in place during the crazy Garbha steps. Nevermind the beeline the enthusiastic crowd made to get a grab at the headphones as the clock struck 10!
