Mukti Bhawan to release in Japan as “Ganges Ni Kaeru” on 27th October 2018

The multiple award-winning Indian drama film ‘Mukti Bhawan’/ ‘Hotel Salvation’ distributed by C International Sales (CIS) has been sold in over 50 International territories including the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Germany, Middle East, Japan, Taiwan, France, Spain, South Africa, Portugal, South Korea and Italy among others and invited to over 70 International Film Festivals around the globe.

The film has been released in over 25 countries and is now scheduled for a theatrical release in Japan titled “Ganges Ni Kaeru” on 27th October 2018.

Commenting on the release, Paul Hudson, Director, C International Sales, said, “Good films always find an audience, and that’s just what’s happened with Hotel Salvation, and we couldn’t be happier.”

Shubahshish Bhutiani the Director of Mukti Bhawan says, “ I am very excited seeing the film travel across the world, I always knew the story had a universal appeal and for a first time film maker like me, its a dream come true.”

“We are extremely delighted to see our little gem finding distribution and theatrical release in every part of the world” says the film’s producer Sanjay Bhutiani on the Japan Release later this month.

Written and directed by Shubhashish Bhutiani, ‘Hotel Salvation’ follows a son faced with his father’s untimely demand to go and die in the holy city of Varanasi and attain salvation. The film starring Adil Hussain (‘Life of Pi’), Lalit Behl (‘Titli’), Geetanjali Kulkarni (‘Court’), and Palomi Ghosh and has won over 30 International awards, including the Grand Prix Enrico Fulchignoni, the UNESCO Gandhi Medal during its premiere at Venice and two National Awards in 2017.

The critics have raved about the film which garnered 4 and 5 star reviews in UK media. Asian Culture Vulture said ‘Gentle, unassuming, funny & poignant, ‘Hotel Salvation’ is a small gem of a film in many ways’ while Empire rated it 4 stars saying, ‘A simple story beautifully told’; ‘A moving, rewarding watch that’ll get you thinking’ (Time Out) rating 4 stars whereas Sight & Sound called it ‘A triumph’.
