Akshay Kumar’s ‘Mission Mangal’ lands in deep trouble! CineEye, November 22, 2018September 26, 2019 Akshay Kumar’s ‘Mission Mangal’ lands in deep trouble! US-based filmmaker claims copyright infringement, files lawsuit Actor Akshay Kumar’s upcoming project ‘Mission Mangal’ is at a very nascent stage and it has already found itself in deep waters of controversy. Recently, the actor on his Instagram page had announced his next movie Mission Mangal which celebrates the contribution of the women engineers behind the mission. The movie stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sharman Joshi, Tapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Sonakshi Sinha and Nithya Menen in prominent roles. But now the project has been put on a halt owing to some fresh allegations of plagiarism from a US based filmmaker, Radha Bharadwaj. The filmmaker has accused the makers of plagiarizing her original screenplay. According to a report by Filmfare, Bharadwaj says that she had shared the original screenplay with Atul Kasbekar and then the production house shared it with actor Vidya Balan who is now a part of the movie as well. The US-based filmmaker has now filed a lawsuit against the makers of the movie to halt the production as well as its release. Radha Bharadwaj’s lawyer, Srishi Ojha told Filmfare, “There are hundreds of ways to tell the story of Mangalyaan, but Radha came up with the angle of focusing on the women engineers working on the mission.” Looks like this project is going to be shifted back! We hope the makers find a way out soon.” BREAKING News akshay kumarakshay kumar upcoming moviesmission mangalsonakshi sinhatapsee pannu
