Tillottama starrer Sir gets a huge  splash in France.
Rohena Gera’s directorial debut ‘Sir’ is getting a huge release in France after a successful theatrical release in more than 20 countries.
The film is released in France yesterday  26th December  and  the scale of the film can be gauged by the fact that the film’s poster featuring Tillotama Shome and Vivek Gomber is on 300 of the signature Morris columns all over paris! And there are 700 backlit double displays in metro stations as well as giant hoardings in cinemas.
Leading up to the release the distributors had a multi city promotional tour with director Rohena Gera  in 9 cities plus in several French festivals.
The film has already won several awards including 5 audience awards in 4 countries.
While sharing her happiness about the huge publicity in Paris actress of the film Tillotama Shome, says, ”Seeing our film posters all across France feels like time travel of a certain kind. Growing up in India, I travelled from one place to the  next as Dad was in the Air Force. And yet traveling the world was an elusive but sexy dream. Thanks to monsoon wedding I sat on a plane for the first time. I saw the world, I gulped and I inhaled it in deep, hungry  breaths. Films, something I am afflicted by, gifts you the super power of being in many places at once. This unexpected turn of events, of seeing our film plastered across France is high  romance, the thrill of romancing stangers. I hope the french travel a little bit with our characters in Sir, whilst a part of me travels to them. With love from India.”
