CineEye, August 5, 2023

Sunny Deol reacted to the use of drugs in Bollywood

Sunny Deol, who is currently promoting his upcoming film, ‘Gadar 2’, was the recent guest on AajTak’s Seedhi Baat. In a conversation with Sudhir Chaudhary, the actor opened up about the use of drugs in Bollywood. He shared his views on the same and said that the industry is not rotten but just some people in it are.
SUNNY DEOL ON USE OF DRUGS IN BOLLYWOOD

On AajTak Seedhi Baat, the anchor told Sunny Deol that earlier people didn’t know about what goes on in Bollywood, how their parties were like, etc. However, the media has started reporting on it now. Sunny was then asked to comment if he thinks the Bollywood industry is rotten from inside.

The actor answered, “Sada hua Bollywood nahi hai, sade hue insaan hai. Aur vo kis field me nahi hai, ye bataiye. Businessman ho, sportsman ho, jaha latt lagi hui hu, vo charo taraf hai. Hum glamour vale hai to unhe humare pe ungli utake maza ata hai (Bollywood is not rotten, it’s the people in it. And this happens in every field. People just point fingers at us because we are from the glamour industry).”

ABOUT ‘GADAR 2’

The recently unveiled trailer of ‘Gadar 2’ shows Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) as he ventures across the border in a daring attempt to rescue his son, portrayed by Utkarsh Sharma, who has been captured in Pakistan. Set in Lahore during the year 1971, ‘Gadar 2’ promises to deliver on its predecessor’s captivating action sequences while depicting Tara Singh’s relentless anger towards those instigating hatred between India and Pakistan. The film also stars Ameesha Patel.

Directed by Anil Sharma, ‘Gadar 2’ is scheduled to release on August 11, and interestingly, it will be clashing with Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’.
