Gadar 2 (Day 8): Sunny Deol’s Film Eyeing To Surpass 300-Crore Mark In India

 Gadar 2, the much-anticipated sequel starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, is set to achieve a remarkable milestone as it inches closer to crossing the monumental Rs 300 crore mark at the Indian box office. As the film enters its eighth day since release, it is expected to continue its impressive streak. Gadar 2 opened to resounding success on August 11, amassing a noteworthy Rs 40 crore on its first day. The momentum only grew stronger as the movie recorded its highest single-day collection of Rs 55.5 crores on Independence Day.

GADAR 2 DAY 8 COLLECTION PREDICTION The film ended its first week on a high note garnering an impressive Rs 284.63 crores. And now as per industry trade insider, Sacnilk, the movie is predicted to mint an additional Rs 17.00 crores on its eighth day. The film had an overall 11.99% Hindi occupancy rate in morning shows on Friday, August 18, 2023.

The film’s performance has also been highlighted by the Producers Guild of India (PGI) and Multiplex Association of India (MAI), who pointed out that the period from August 11 to 13 witnessed the ‘busiest single weekend’ since the reopening of cinemas after the Covid pandemic. During this period, Gadar 2 achieved a remarkable collection of Rs 134.88 crore. Gadar 2 opened its theatrical journey alongside Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2, which has also been performing decently despite getting an ‘A’ certificate from the censor board.

GADAR 2 Helmed by Anil Sharma, the film is set against the backdrop of 1971, and it traces the journey of Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) in Pakistan to rescue his son, Charanjeet Singh (Utkarsh Sharma), from the clutches of the Pakistani Army. Ameesha Patel essays the role of Tara’s wife, Sakeena.
