The Cast of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana

After the Adipurush debacle, fans are looking forward to watching Nitesh Tiwaris’ three-part Ramayana, which he said will be appealing to both kids as well as the older generation. Who will play which role in the movie based on Sanskrit epic from ancient India? Here are five actors who have reportedly been confirmed for the film.

1. Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram

 Ranbir Kapoor has reportedly been roped in to play Lord Ram in Ramayana. As per the latest reports, he is going to quit alcohol and meat to prepare for the role spiritually and thus align with Lord Ram’s purity.

2. Naveen Polishetty as Laxman

Indian actor and screenwriter who has mainly worked in Telugu movies, Naveen Polishetty will likely play the role of Lord Laxman in Nitesh Tiwari’s three-part Ramayana. The actor who made his Hindi debut in Sushant Singh Rajput’s last theatrical release Chhichhore wasn’t the first choice reportedly. Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda who is making his debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies was approached for the role but he walked out as he didn’t want to play second fiddle to Ranbir reportedly. Agastya already has another more films lined up – Ekkis with Sriram Raghavan.

3. Sunny Deol as Hanuman 

After the grand success of Gada 2, Sunny Deol already has several projects lined up and if reports are to be believed, he has also been roped in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana in the role of Lord Hanuman. It is said that Sunny has expressed his interest in playing the role and is quite excited about it too.

4. Yash as Ravan

KGF star Yash who enjoys a massive fan following across the country has reportedly been roped in to play the role of Ravan. It is said that he has already taken up several look tests, post which he has been finalised for the role.

5. Sai Pallavi as Sita

Known for her roles in popular movies like Premam and Athiran among others, Sai Pallavi who has predominantly worked in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films has been finalized for the role of Sita. Earlier, it was said that Alia Bhatt was in talks for the role. However, it seems Nitesh Towari went ahead with his first choice.
