‘Animal,’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol in lead roles will soon get a sequel that will have a darker spin.

The film, which was one of the highest-earning films of 2023, debuted on OTT last weekend and set social media ablaze with discussions on the film’s future after that epic climax scene.

In a daring move, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga hinted at a sequel titled ‘Animal Park’ at the peak of the film’s climax, introducing the prospect of more formidable characters and a darker narrative. In a recent interview with TimesNow, director Vanga disclosed the upcoming sequel will be ‘bigger and crazier’. This comes after he told reporters that he and Ranbir Kapoor have plans to collaborate on a sequel that promises to be ‘darker and more violent’.

The director also hinted that the film will surpass expectations with more intense and brutal action scenes. The bold commitment stirred curiosity among the audience excited to see how the director expands the Animal universe, others however were sinical about his controversial characters.

‘Animal’ made its theatrical debut on December 1 and has since gone on to rake in over Rs 900 crore at the box office. With ‘Animal’ enjoying blockbuster success, the director and producers are ready to take this franchise forward, thus expanding the gripping narrative.
