Changed lifestyle after being body shamed

In a new interview with PTI, Shehnaaz Gill revealed that she was body shamed when she was on the Bigg Boss show. She lost weight and changed her fashion style as people considered that she would only wear a salwar suit. She took good advice from people and followed them in order to change herself.

Cut off from Punjab Industry

She has made her acting debut with the Punjabi film Sat Shri Akaal and since appeared in various Punjabi movies. Shehnaaz Gill recounted the times when she was invited to her own film premiere. She says the Punjab film industry has completely cut her off. She was disheartened and doesn’t want her age to become a hindrance in her career.

Rejection from music video

Shehnaaz Gill began her career in 2015 with Punjabi songs. During the first promotional event of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, the singer recalled an anecdote when she was rejected from her first music video. She was hurt and cried a lot. At that time her mother told her not to cry and consoled her saying one day she will work with Salman Khan in a film. And her words got true as Shehnaaz Gill featured in the actor’s latest movie Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

Rejected on set

Shehnaaz Gill has also been rejected from a film after being signed for it. She was called on the set and was then rejected as people there wondered if she is a kid. The actress thinks she has a long way to go and rejections should be accepted.

Gaining sympathy

Shehnaaz Gill dated Sidharth Shukla after Bigg Boss 13 and their chemistry was loved by many. Unfortunately, the actor passed away in 2021 and Gill was left alone and shattered. The actress was going through an emotional stage but people assumed that she is trying to gain sympathy after Sidharth’s demise.
